Design your store and construct your dream! A small down payment (based on store size) buys you an onsite inspection with a written report of your future location, a store layout specific to your location, a construction budget all contained within our Retail Design program.

OUR PROCESS

STEP ONE

NEGOTIATE
LEASE

Tenant Action:

  • Sign Lease
  • Provide Landlord contact information to DSGNworks Team

 

Landlord Action:

  • Sign Lease

 

DSGNworks Team Action:

  • Contact Landlord for building information
  • Schedule site visit

STEP TWO

STORE LAYOUT
DESIGN

Tenant Action:

  • Ask for the “Tenant Design Handbook” for a complete list of steps to completion
  • Approve Layout Design

 

DSGNworks Team Action:

  • Conduct site survey
  • Design Store Layout
  • Submit layout to Tenant for approval

STEP THREE

ARCHITECTURE ENGINEERING

Tenant Action:

  • Select and purchase FF&E
  • Relax

 

DSGNworks Team Action:

  • Complete architecture and engineering
  • Complete construction documents
  • Submit construction documents to landlord for approval
  • Submit construction documents to city for review

STEP FOUR

CITY
PLAN REVIEW

Tenant Action:

  • Relax
  • Complete selection of general contractor
  • Negotiate final construction price

 

Landlord Action:

  • Approve construction documents

 

City Action:

  • Review / comment / approve construction documents

 

DSGNworks Team Action:

  • Address city review comments
  • Receive notice permit for construction is approved

STEP FIVE

GENERAL
CONSTRUCTION

Tenant Action:

  • Review / comment / approve 95% completed store with General Contractor

 

Landlord Action:

  • Provide access to store to Owner’s General Contractor

 

DSGNworks Team Action:

  • Respond to contractor and owner within one business day as construction questions arise

STEP SIX

GRAND
OPENING

Tenant Action:

  • Accept keys
  • Welcome Customers

 

DSGNworks Team Action:

  • Congratulate Owner on achieving launching their business!
  • Add Owner to holiday card list
